Yesterday in Ghana nothing bad happened. :-)

The weather is great in Ghana. The country is stable. There are no mass protests in the streets like in a number of other countries in the world. We have plenty of food. In short things are good.

I have a very small financial interest in the under-water logging venture currently taking place on Lake Volta. Trees that were drowned 50 years ago by the Akosombo dam are being sawed off close to the lake bottom and brought to the surface, where a small sawmill is currently producing hardwood lumber. Transportation and fishing will benefit hugely from the removal of the current underwater hazards.

I was not aware of an underwater logging venture in Volta. We do currently get most of our fish from Lake Volta which was created by Akosombo Dam under Nkrumah. The other day I had a nice tilapia from there.
